Young Punjab opener Abhishek Sharma has been playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad since 2019. The 2024 IPL season was the best for him in the last six years, featuring in all 16 games for the Orange Army, he amassed 484 runs at a staggering strike rate of 204.21 with a rampage of 75* off 28 balls against Lucknow Supergains being his best. The charismatic Southpaw smashed 36 fours and 42 soaring maximums, the most sixes by an Indian in a single IPL edition. Abhishek’s stellar form was significant to take Hyderabad to the finals of the 17th season.

Abhishek’s intent was clear from the first game of the season, he tried to give his team a brisk start in almost every match, smacking the bowlers recklessly in the powerplay.
