Australia Became Fourth Team To WIN 100 T20Is
The six-time World Cup winner Australia became the fourth team to win 100 games in T20Is. Their 100th win came against New Zealand in the 3rd of their 2024 tour in Auckland. India, Pakistan, and New Zealand are others to register a hundred victories in T20 internationals.
Due to rain, the match was played for 10 overs each, batting first Australia posted 126 run target for the hosts Riding on quick knocks by Matthew Short (27) and Glenn Maxwell (20). However, Australia’s tight bowling effort restricted the Kiwis to 98, aiding them to win the game by 27 runs.
The visitors cleanly swept the hosts by 3-0.
