      Australia Revealed Squad For T20 World Cup 2024

      The Australian Cricket Team revealed their squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 on Wednesday 1st May. Veteran batsman Steve Smith has been excluded from the squad along with T20 specialists Jason Behrendorff and Matt Short.

      All-rounder Mitchell Marsh will lead the side in the West Indies and the USA in the four-week tournament. Ashton Agar who did not play a single T20I game since the last T20 WC in Australia has also been added to the team. The other all-rounders in the team are Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, and Cameron Green.

      Australia has taken David Warner and Travis Head as their full-time batting options while the bowling unit is comprised of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Ellis, and Adam Zampa.

      Their wicket-keepers in the marquee event will be Matthew Wade and Josh Inglish.

      The 2021 T20 WC winners will begin their tournament with a game against Oman in Barbados on 5th June.
