Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule and Venue

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the schedule for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on the 24th of December which is marking its return after eight years since its last instalment in 2017 in England and Wales. The 2025 Champions Trophy which will be the ninth edition of this marquee tournament will be hosted by Pakistan and UAE from 19th February to 9th March. This will be Pakistan’s first ICC event hosting since the 1996 World Cup and UAE has been chosen for India’s unwillingness to travel to Pakistan due to a continuing rift with them on the borders.

A total of eight teams will participate in this 19-day riveting tournament with Group A comprising India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh while Group B has Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan.

The tournament will commence on the 19th of February with the host Pakistan taking on New Zealand at the National Stadium in Karachi. India will begin their campaign on 20th February as they will face Bangaldesh at the Dubai International Stadium.

22nd February will see Australia and England go head-to-head at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore whereas the much-awaited India vs Pakistan is slated for 23rd February at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.

The venues in Pakistan are Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi while in the UAE, Dubai will host all the matches.

The group stage will conclude with the mega contest between India and New Zealand in Dubai on the 2nd of March. The first semi-final is scheduled for the 4th of March in Dubai and the second semi-final will take place on the 5th of March in Lahore.

Lahore will organize the grand finale of the Champions Trophy 2025, however, if India qualifies for the final, it will be played in Dubai on the 9th of March. All the knock-out games will have a reserve day in case of any interruption.
