      Swashbuckling Australian opener David Warner retired from ODI cricket. The New South Wales cricketer announced his decision of not playing the 50-over format anymore during a press conference in Sydney ahead of the final test match of his life.

      Since the start of 2023, Warner has hinted about leaving the white ball and One Day formats to take some load off after serving his country for over a decade. However, the Southpaw has assured if his nation needs him in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan and he is in form, he will consider coming out of retirement and representing his beloved country.

      David Warner Retired From ODI Cricket. From there he had an illustrious career of 161 matches where he aamssed 6932 runs at an impressive average of 45.30 with 30 centuries, the 2nd highest by Australian batter.

      Winning the 2015 World Cup in Australia and the 2023 World Cup in India have been the most precious moments of his ODI Career.

      The Southpaw was also the highest run-getter for his country in the successful 2023 World Cup campaign with 535 runs in 11 games with the best of 163 against Pakistan.

      Warner will continue to play the T20 format for Australia and he also expressed his desire to play in the franchise leagues all over the world amid retirement from two formats. His next mission will be to win the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States.
