      Fastest 3000 Runs In T20I

T20 cricket is the most played format nowadays in international cricket. To seal a place in the national team, a player has to be consistent and impactful in his performance. There are a few players who represent their country for a long time in any format. When a batter makes his debut, he tends to win games by demonstrating his skills. Making three thousand runs in T20 at the highest level is a big deal and only eight players have done so. Let’s have a look at the batters with the fastest 3000 runs in T20I.

Pakistani wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan is the fastest batsman to score 3000 runs in T20I, reaching this feat in only 79 innings during the 2nd t20 of the New Zealand tour of Pakistan 2024 in Rawalpindi. Rizwan took two fewer innings than Virat Kohli and his compatriot Babar Azam to make this record of his own. The smooth batter scored an unbeaten 45 off 34 balls in the game, helping the hosts to chase a mere total of 91 runs.

Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli gets 2nd place on the elite list of fastest 3000 runs in T20I. The ace batter took 81 innings to reach the milestone, achieving it in 2021 during a T20 against England in Ahmedabad. Kohli is also the highest run-getter in the men’s T20I with 4037 runs in 117 outings.

Current Pakistani captain Babar Azam completed 3000 T20I runs in the same number of innings as Virat Kohli, making him the 2nd joint fastest to score 3000 runs in the T20 internationals. He accomplished the milestone in 2022 during a T20 game against England in Lahore.
