Fastest Team Fifty In Test

The England Cricket Team recently shook the whole world when they registered the fastest team fifty within 4.2 overs on the first day of the second test against the West Indies in Trentbridge riding on opener Ben Duckett’s 33 off 14 and Ollie Pope’s 16 off 9 balls. They both smashed 10 boundaries together to reach the milestone.

The second and third fastest team fifties also belong to England. They achieved the feat in 4.3 and 4.6 overs against South Africa and Sri Lanka respectively in 1994 and 2002. So the aggressive brand of cricket for the English team is not new in the format.

Sri Lanka gets the 3rd place in terms of getting the fastest team fifty in the test. During a test match against Pakistan in Karachi in 2004, they completed 50 runs within 5.2 overs.
