Jasprit Bumrah is a right-arm unorthodox fast bowler from Gujarat who came into the limelight with his weird short run-up action. Later he established himself as one of the best seamers to ever play the game with his accurate length ball, toe-crushing yorkers, and impressive bouncers. Bumrah’s road to international cricket would have been difficult if IPL never existed. He was scouted by former Indian head coach John Wright during the match against Mumbai in the 2012-13 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and his impressive bowling made John Wright sign him for Mumbai Indians for his base price of INR 10 lacs.

Bumrah made his first appearance in IPL in the second game of IPL 2013 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru. He returned with the sensational figure of 3/32 in overs on his debut and his first wicket came in the form of Virat Kohli who was trapped in front of the wickets by the Gujrat-based bowler in the 5th over. There could not have been a better start than this for Jasprit Bumrah. The other victims were Mayank Agarwal and Karun Nair.
