      Gautam Gambhir’s ODI Centuries

      Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has 11 centuries in his name in ODI cricket. The classy opener from Delhi made his ODI debut in 2003 against Bangladesh and played 147 games for India in the format, amassing 5238 runs at a decent average of 39.68 while his strike rate was an impressive 85.25. The Southpaw hit 34 half-centuries and 150* off 137 balls against Sri Lanka in 2009 at Eden Gardens remained his highest score in One Day International. Gambhir played his last ODI game in 2013 against England. He was one of the major contributors to India’s successful World Cup campaign in 2011.

      The veteran batsman smacked six out of eleven hundreds in ODIs against Sri Lanka and that too when Lasith Malinga, Muttiah Muralitahran, and Nuwan Kulasekara were a part of the Lankan team. He brought up two centuries apiece against New Zealand and Bangladesh while one ton came against Australia.
