Imad Wasim Retired From International Cricket

Pakistani all-rounder Imad Wasim retired from international cricket on Friday, 24th November. The ace player made the announcement via his X account in the evening.

Having made his international debut against Zimbabwe in 2015 in a T20, the Southpaw went on to play 66 matches in the format and snared 65 scalps at a praiseworthy economy of 6.26. He also featured in 55 ODIs where he took 44 wickets with the best bowling figure of 5/14. With the bat in ODIs, the stroke-playing batter smashed at an impressive strike rate of 110.3. The 2017 Champions Trophy triumph with Pakistan has been the best moment of his cricketing career.

His last appearance for the Men in Green came in April 2023 against the Kiwis. Post the 2021 T20 World Cup in UAE, the team management kept him in the team on and off. Hence for not being valued too much, the 34-year-old decided to call it a day in international cricket.
