KeymasterIndia Clinched Second Medal In Olympics 2024, Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh Secured Bronze
Team India clinched the second medal in the Olympics 2024 as the dynamic duo of Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh secured the bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol mix in Paris on Tuesday 30th of July. This is India’s second accolade in the shooting game in the ongoing Olympics after Manu Bhaker’s bronze in the women’s segment of the same event.
In the 10m mix Air Pistol qualification match, Manu and Sarabjot finished with 580 points and 20 perfect shots whereas South Korean Xue Li and Wonho Lee scored 579 points with 18 perfect shots. The final scoreline was 16-10 however, despite having a startling beginning of 2-4 after the third series, Korea narrowed the gap to 6-10 after the end of the eighth series.
Manu Bhaker who hails from the Jhajjhar district of Haryana became the first Indian to bag two medals in an edition of the Olympics in Paris in 2024. It was Sarabjot Singh’s first medal in the global event. Manu also joined the elite list of Indians to win multiple medals in the Olympics with Norman Pritchard, Sushil Kunar, and PV Sindhu.
