India Squad For 2024 South Africa Series

The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced India’s squad for the 2024 South Africa series on Thursday 30th November. Team India will play 3 T20Is and ODIs along with 2 tests in their forthcoming tour of South Africa next month.

Experienced campaigners Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been rested for the white ball series but they both will be back for the red ball format starting from 26th December.

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Men in Blue in the 3-match T20 series in their Proteas tour of this year. Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, MD Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, and Deepak Chahar also return to the side for the T20 extravaganza.

In the ODIs, wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul has been named skipper for all three games. Sai Sudarshan and Rinku Singh have received their maiden call-up. Apart from this, Sanju Samson, Avesh Khan, and Yuzvendra Chahal have made a comeback in the one-day side. Notably, Rajat Patidar has also been added to the unit for his superb performance in domestic cricket.

The management has gathered a full-fledged squad for the 2 match test series led by Rohit Sharma. Maharashtra boy Ruturaj Gaikwad got the maiden test call-up while Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ashwin, Jadeja, Shardul, Shami, Bumrah, and Prasidh Krishna will be seen in action in the longest format.
