      Khamzat Chimaev’s UFC Record

Khamzat Chimaev is one of the mightiest fighters in UFC history who hails from the Chechnya Republic of Russia. Before getting into the Mix Martial Arts, Khamzat used to do freestyle wrestling and even bagged three Gold medals in the Swedish Freestyle National Championship.

Khamzat Chimaev's UFC RecordThe athlete who moved to the UAE in 2023 after representing Sweden for almost three years, has a solid record in the middleweight division of the UFC. He is on an unbeaten streak of 13-0, comprising six knockouts, five submissions, and two decision wins.

The 6ft 2-inch athlete made his UFC debut against Welsh fighter John Phillips on 16th July 2020 and defeated him in the second round by submission. Khamzat grabbed all the limelight when he knocked out veteran American middle-weight player Gerald Meerschaert within 17 seconds in the same year.

Khamzat’s notable achievement in the UFC has been his bout against the former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. The fight was fiery and Usman’s strength to endure strikes, kicks, and grappling had Khamzat win the fight via majority decision.

Another big fight for Khamzat is on the cards as he has been scheduled to face former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker at UFC 308 on 26th October 2024. A victory there means Khamzat’s career would take a huge stride and he would be in contention to be crowned as the new middleweight champion.
