Lowest Total In T20 World Cup

The Netherlands holds the record for the lowest total in the T20 World Cup history. During the 19th game of the 2014 edition, Sri Lanka bowled them out for 39 runs, courtesy of Angelo Mathews’ and Ajantha Mendis’s three fers.  Sri Lanka won the game within five overs in Chattogram.

The Netherlands is again on the list upon getting folded for 44 runs in the T20 WC 2021 against the same opponent Sri Lanka. A fatal bowling performance led to the disaster of the Dutch batters in Sharjah, handing Lanka a victory by eight wickets and 77 balls remaining.

The West Indies made it to this embarrassing list of the lowest total (55) in the T20 World Cup in 2021 against England in Dubai. A robust batting lineup was destroyed by Adil Rashid’s 2/4, Moeen Ali’s 2/17, and Mills’ 2/17. Therefore, England won the game within 8.2 overs.
