Mayank Yadav and Nitish Reddy Got Maiden India Call-Up For Bangaldesh T20I Series

Fast bowling sensation Mayank Yadav and effective all-rounder Nitish Reddy got the maiden national call-up as the BCCI announced India’s squad for the upcoming three-match T20 series against Bangaldesh on Saturday 28th September. Mayank was featured for Lucknow Supergiants in the 2024 IPL and caught all the attention with his sheer pace and accuracy while Nitish impressed everyone with his all-round show for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

KKR mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy has made a return to the national side after playing his last international game in the 2021 T20 World Cup following an incredible IPL 2024, lacing with 21 wickets. Punjab wicket-keeper Jitesh Sharma has also made a comeback since his last appearance in the Afghanistan series in January. The other man with the gloves will be Sanju Samson who is likely to be the first choice.

Veteran batsman Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side whereas Abhishek Sharma and Rinku Singh will be the other batters.

Ace Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, and Riyan Parag will be the other all-rounders on the team. The fast bowling unit comprised Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana along with the mentioned bowler. Hence in the absence of frontline seamers Bumrah and Siraj, the others can make their debut in the format.

Ravi Bishnoi and Varun Chakravarthy are the complete spinners to trap the hosts.

India will play its first game on the 6th of October in Gwalior while the 2nd and 3rd matches will take place on the 9th and 12th of October respectively.
