Mayank Yadav and Nitish Reddy Made T20I Debut

2024 IPL sensations Mayank Yadav and Nitish Reddy made their T20I debut during the 1st T20 against Bangladesh on Sunday 6th October. They became 117th and 116th players respectively to play the shortest format for India.

In the 2024 edition of IPL, Mayank featured in four games and took seven wickets at a fascinating strike rate of 12.14 but the trait that drew everyone’s attention was his sheer pace above 150 constantly and accuracy with the ball. On the other hand, Reddy was phenomenal with his all-round show, making 393 runs at 142.92 and claiming three wickets.

India went on to win the first T20 in Gwalior as they chased down 128 runs in 11.5 overs after bundling the visitors for 127. Lucknow Supergiants fast bowler Mayank started his international career on a high note, bowling a maiden over and returning with 1/21 in his four overs spell while Reddy scored 16 off 15 balls with the bat and leaked only 17 runs in two overs.

Overall, they both impressed the fans and management with their skills and mettle. In Nitish, India has got a decent all-rounder for his ability with bat and ball and Mayank will always be effective for his electrifying pace and tough line length in the T20.
