Mohammed Siraj ODI Wickets Against Sri Lanka

Mohammed Siraj is one of the fast bowlers who has been a part of India’s ODI squad since 2020 and has done quite well in the format. He made his ODI debut against Australia in 2019 and so far has represented India in 41 games and scalped 68 wickets at a decent strike rate of 26.8. But when it comes to facing Sri Lanka he becomes a different beast and his accuracy and swing become more lethal. In six matches against the Lankan Lions, the Hyderabad-born fast bowler has claimed 19 wickets at a staggering strike rate of 13.1.

His career best of 6/21 also came against Sri Lanka in the final of the 2023 Asia Cup, helping India to fold the hosts for only 50 runs in Colombo. Siraj also etched his name on record books after being the first Indian to take four wickets in one over, achieving this feat in the 4th over of the match. It seems that Siraj has a unique enmity against the island nation.
