Kohli surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar to become the batter with the most 50+ scores in ICC ODI tournaments. This knock marked Kohli’s 24th fifty-plus score in ICC ODI tournaments, combining the Cricket World Cup and the Champions Trophy.
Previously, Sachin Tendulkar held the record with 23 fifty-plus scores. Across six World Cups and five Champions Trophy events, Tendulkar accumulated 2719 runs in 58 innings at a formidable average of 52.28. Kohli, meanwhile, has participated in four World Cups and three Champions Trophy editions, amassing an impressive 2541 runs at an average of 65.15, underlining his extraordinary consistency and reliability.
