      One of the most consistent performers in all three formats ever, Virat Kohli holds the record for the most runs in a single T20 World Cup. In the 2014 edition of the event, he amassed 319 runs in 6 matches at a staggering average of 106.33. He hit four 50s in that edition.

      Former Lankan opener Tillakaratne Dilshan scored the second most runs in a single T20 World Cup and it came in the 2009 T20 World Cup in England. The ace batsman made 317 runs in 7 outings in the competition at a staggering strike rate of 144.74. Dilshan touched the half-century mark thrice in the session.

      During the T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE, Pakistani skipper Babar Azam accumulated 303 runs in 6 innings at a stunning average of 60.80, the 3rd most runs in a single T20 World Cup. Babar was exceptional throughout the event and Pakistan ended their journey as the semi-finalist on the back of their leader.
