Most Runs In Test In One Over
Ace Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah holds the record for the most runs in one over in a test match. During the India tour of England in 2022, Bumrah scored 35 runs off an over of veteran bowler Stuart Broad, hitting two sixes and five fours where two of the fours came in illegal deliveries.
In a test match between West Indies and South Africa in Johannesburg in 2004, Brian Lara wreaked havoc on Robin Peterson and smashed four boundaries and two sixes to amass 28 runs in his over. It was a rare sight from someone classy like Lara who generally takes time to score.
Former Australian batsman George Bailey scored the joint second-most runs in tests in one over with 28 runs. He made the record against one of the best bowlers of all time James Anderson during the 2013-14 Ashes in Perth, smacking him for three sixes and two fours.
