Most Titles Wins In Ranji Trophy History

The Ranji Trophy is the pioneer of all cricket tournaments in India. Beginning its journey in 1934-35, the prestigious competition completed its 90th edition in 2024-25, with Vidarbha claiming the silverware by defeating Kerala in the finals at the Nagpur Cricket Association ground.

Mumbai has won the most titles in the history of the Ranji Trophy. They clinched the first two seasons in 1934-35 and 1935-36 and later claimed the prestigious trophy 40 more times, cementing their dominance as the most superior team in India.

Karnataka has won the second-most titles in Ranji Trophy history, with their first victory coming in the 1973-74 season. In the 2000s, Karnataka had the opportunity to lift the coveted trophy twice, in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 editions, both under the leadership of Vinay Kumar.

Delhi follows next on this elite list with seven titles, while Madhya Pradesh and Baroda have each won the trophy five times.
