Nepal’s Dipendra Airee Hit 6 Sixes In T20 International

Nepal’s all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee hit 6 sixes in a T20 international against Qatar in the ACC Men’s T20I Premier Cup in Al Amerat. Qatari seamer Kamran Khan was on the receiving end. Dipendra joined the elite list of batters with 6 sixes in T20Is with Yuvraj Singh and Kieron Pollard.

The magical moment for the had hitter came during the 20th over of Nepal’s innings when Dipendra was batting on 28 off 15 balls. After smashing six in every delivery of the over, his score was 64 off 21 balls while Nepal reached 210/7 on the back of it. Dipenarda Airee is the first Nepali batsman to achieve the feat. Yuvraj Singh was the first batter to hit 6 sixes in an over of a T20I game during the 2007 T20 World Cup off Stuart Broad and the Caribbean legend Kieron Pollard achieved the feat in 2021 off Akila Dhananjaya’s over in a game against Sri Lanka.

Previously during the 2023 Asian Games, Airee became the fastest batsman to score a fifty in T20I, reaching the mark in just 9 balls against Mongolia.
