Rohit Sharma Creates Unique WTC Record
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma Creates a unique WTC (World Test Championship) record during the 5th test against England of the 2024 test series in Dharamshala. He became the first Indian to hit 50 sixes in the World Test Championship history.
His 5oth maximum in the prestigious tournament came against quick seamer Mark Wood’s short ball and he pulled it on the fine leg beautifully. Only England’s captain Ben Stokes has more sixes than Rohit in WTC history as he is leading with 78 sixes. Rishabh Pant has hit the 3rd most sixes in the competition with 38 sixes while Yashasvi Jaiswal has 29 over boundaries in his name.
