Suresh Raina is one of the best batsmen to feature in the Indian Premier League. His stylish and aggressive batting exploits which took many games from the opposition in the marquee event earned him the designation of “Mr. IPL”. The Uttar Pradesh-born player joined CSK in 2008 for a decent sum of INR 2.6 cr. Apart from his last season in 2021, the Southpaw scored at least 350+ runs in every edition he played. Raina lifted the coveted IPL trophy four times with Chennai Super Kings in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. He was pivotal for CSK in winning the 2010 IPL final against Mumbai Indians, having scored 57* off 35 balls with the bat and 1/21 with the ball and winning the Man of the Match award in 22 runs victory of his team.

Raina’s highest score in IPL is 100* off 53 balls against Kings Xi Punjab in a group game of the 2014 IPL. Batting first, the hosts posted a stunning total of 186/4 in 20 overs on the back of a sensational century by Raina. The Southpaw smashed seven 4s and six 6s in his outing, helping CSK to in the game by 15 runs. It was Raina’s only hundred in the competition however, he touched the 50-run mark 39 times.
