Teams To Play Most Finals In IPL
The Chennai-based franchise, Chennai Super Kings has played the most finals in IPL history. From 2008 to 2024, they have reached finals ten times and clinched the trophy five times in 2010. 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023. MS Dhoni led the team in all of their successful campaigns.
The other five-time champions Mumbai Indians have played the second-most finals in the IPL. The earlier Rohit Sharma-led franchise won five titles out of six finals they played. Their win ratio in the finals is unparalleled.
Shahrukh Khan-owned Kolkata Knight Riders have previously advanced to three finals in the IPL. In 2024, they have made it to their fourth final. Under Gautam Gambhir, KKR clinched the trophies in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
