The left-arm fast bowler will work closely with the head coach Justin Langer and other staffs like Lance Klusner, Adam Voges, and Jonty Rhodes.
Previously, Gautam Gambhir served as the mentor for LSG for the 2022 and 2023 season and the team qualified for playoffs in both seasson but the Southpaw left the franchise in 2023 and LSG did not have any mentor for that edition.
Moreover, Morne Morkel has left LSG’s bowling coach position vecant as he moved to Team India in the same designation. So now it’s hard to undertstand that if Zaheer will take over for the role. His immense experince and expertise will be highly helpful for the bowlers of LSG.
Before arriving at LSG, Zaheer worked with Mumbai Indians as their Director of Cricket from 2018 to 2022 and in 2017, he was appointed as the bowling consutant for the Indian Cricket Team.
