Zaheer Khan is probably the best all-format fast bowler India has ever seen. The left-arm seamer from Mumbai made his test debut in 2000 against Bangladesh and played his last test in 2014 against New Zealand. In between the period, Zaheer represented India in 92 tests and scalped 311 wickets at a decent average of 32.95. He is the 6th highest wicket-taker for India in tests. The veteran bowler breached the five-wicket haul mark 11 times in his career with 7 for 87 being his best bowling figure.

At home, the Maharashtra fast bowler bagged 104 wickets in 38 matches while in away matches, he snared 207 wickets in 54 matches. Apart From India, New Zealand was his best country to bowl in test matches as he claimed 33 wickets in 7 outings in New Zealand. Khan grabbed 31 wickets apiece in England and Bangladesh whereas in South Africa, he took 30 wickets in 8 matches.
