Trent Boult’s IPL 2024 Team is Rajasthan Royals.
Trent Boult is a left-arm fast bowler who represents New Zealand in all three formats. Boult made his reputation in international cricket with the skill of swinging the ball both ways. He is impressive with the old ball too as there are pin-point yorkers and unplayable bouncers in his armory. The ace pacer made his IPL debut in 2015 after being picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 3.8 cr. In the debut season, he bagged 9 wickets in 7 games at a decent economy rate of 8.42. Next year in 2016, he was a part of SRH’s IPL-winning team but featured in only one game.
KKR secured the services of the Kiwi fast bowler in 2017 for a whopping amount of INR 5 cr. He got only five wickets in six games. Hence Kolkata released him in the next edition and Delhi Capitals bought him in the auction in exchange for INR 2.2 cr. Boult claimed 18 wickets in 14 matches and justified his presence. His stay was in Delhi for one more season and in the next auction in 2020, the swing bowler was sold to Mumbai Indians for INR 3.20 cr and he played a crucial role in Mumbai’s IPL triumph that year with 25 scalps in 15 matches. Therefore in 2021, Trent Boult had an ordinary season, taking only 13 wickets in 14 matches.
The Northern Districts bowler went to Rajasthan Royals in 2022 after they placed the highest bid of INR 8 cr for him in the auction. He proved his worth in the team with 16 wickets in 16 games, providing early wickets in almost every match. Boult’s impressive performance was vital for RR to get into the finals. He continued his good form for the franchise in the next edition as the leftie accumulated 13 wickets in 1o matches.
In the 2024 IPL, Trent Boult will play for Rajasthan Royals and it will be his third season with the franchise. He will get INR 8 cr for his stay.
