Most Appearances In T20 World Cup
Current Indian captain Rohit Sharma has made the most appearances in the T20 World Cup. From 2007 to 2023, he participated in all installments of the competition and played 39 matches, and in 2024, Rohit will lead India in the 9th edition of the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA.
One of the best all-rounders of all time, Shakib Al Hasan has the 2nd most appearances in the T20 World Cup history. Featuring in all editions of the marquee event since 2007, the left-arm spinner cum batter has played 36 matches and scored 742 runs while with the ball he is the highest wicket-taker with 47 wickets.
Former Sri Lankan opening batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan is third on this elite list. From 2007 to 2016, he represented Sri Lanka in six editions and donned their jersey 35 times. He ended his career with 897 runs at a decent average of 30.93 in the event.
