Romelu Lukaku’s Transfer Rumors To Napoli

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is the center of attraction on social media currently due to the rumor of his transfer to Napoli. He joined Chelsea in 2021 for a record transfer fee of $285 million on a five-year contract. The 31-year-old played only one season with the club, netting eight goals in 26 games. For his disagreement and poor rapport with coach Thomas Tuchel, he moved to Inter in 2022 on loan and later to Roma in 2023. His poor performance and attitude at Chelsea have led the management to put him in the transfer market.

As per the reports, Chelsea is willing to sell Lukaku for a handsome amount of 37 million pounds and no other club except Napoli has shown interest for the striker. It is said that Chelsea is keen to swap him with the young Nigerian sensation Victor Osimhen but the asking price for him is 110 million pounds which is beyond the budget of Blues given the fact that Chelsea has already made six signings.

Napoli coach Antonio Conte will be happy to have him at Naples as he along with Lukaku brought Inter to Serie A glory in 2021 but the move will be only possible if Victor leaves Napoli ahead of the upcoming season. Sources are also stating that Lukaku has also agreed to a cut in his pay and three-year contract with Napoli.

In the last two years in the Serie A, he notched up only 23 goals in addition to 9 assists in 57 matches.
