      Longest Throw in Javelin History

      Former Czech Republic athlete Jan Zelazny holds the record for the longest throw in Javelin history. During an athletic meet in Germany in 1996, he recorded a massive throw of 98.48 meters.  The ace track and field player won three Golds and one Silver in his Olympic career.

      Longest Throw in Javelin History

      German athlete Johannes Vetter fired a gigantic throw of 97.96 meters at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial event in Poland in 2020, the 2nd longest throw in Javelin history. Although Vetter has not won anything significant in the Olympics.

      The 6 ft 2 inch Johannes Vetter has again found himself on this elite list with a huge throw of 96.29 meters in the European Athletic Team Championship in Poland in 2021.

      Among Indians, Neeraj Chopra has registered the longest throw in Javelin. During the Stockholm Diamond League in 2022, the first Indian Gold medalist in the Olympics in track and field recorded a colossal 89.94 meters. At the age of 26, Neeraj has already won one Gold and one Silver in the Olympics.
