Delhi’s dynamic wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant, etched his name into the record books by becoming the fastest Asian wicket-keeper to score 3000 Test runs. The milestone came during the first innings of the opening Test between India and England at Headingley, Leeds.

Rishabh Pant reached the landmark in just 76 innings, surpassing cricketing legends like Kumar Sangakkara (78 innings) and MS Dhoni (84 innings). This feat also makes him the second-fastest wicket-keeper globally to achieve the milestone, behind only Australia’s Adam Gilchrist.

The 27-year-old southpaw delivered a masterclass in red-ball cricket, smashing a brilliant 134 off 178 balls, laced with 12 boundaries and 6 sixes, propelling India to a formidable 471 in the first innings. He followed it up with another stellar performance in the second innings, scoring 118, further cementing his status as a modern-day Test great.
