BCCI Annual Contract List for 2024-25 has been announced and many got the opportunity

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced its annual contract list for 2024-25 on Monday, 21st April. Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan returned to the list after being excluded in 2023-24 due to disciplinary issues. Meanwhile, Varun Chakravarthy, Nitish Reddy, and Abhishek Sharma earned contracts for their stellar performances over the last year.

The contract system is divided into four categories: A+, A, B, and C.

• A+ Category: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja retained their positions, earning INR 7 crore annually.
• A Category: Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami, Rishabh Pant, and Mohammed Siraj, each earning INR 5 crore.
• B Category: Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shreyas Iyer, all set to receive INR 3 crore.
• C Category: 19 players including Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Akash Deep, Varun Chakravarthy, and Harshit Rana, each earning INR 1 crore.

Notably missing from this year’s list are Ravichandran Ashwin, who retired after the 2024-25 Border Gavaskar Trophy, and players like Shardul Thakur, Jitesh Sharma, KS Bharat, and Avesh Khan.
