Devdutt Padikkal Scored Fifty On Debut
Bengaluru boy Devdutt Padikkal scored a fluent fifty on his test debut against England in Dharamshala. His half-century came off 83 deliveries and he reached there in style by smashing a six over long-on against Shoaib Bashir.
The Southpaw arrived on the crease after the departure of centurion Shubman Gill and the platform was set for the debutant. From there he scored 65 in 103 balls with the help of ten fours and a maximum. He looked very comfortable against both pacers and spinners, choosing his shots appropriately till the time he stayed on the ground.
Padikkal is the 314th Indian to play test cricket for India. His rigorous hard work and remarkable performance rewarded him the test cap.
