Jamaican track and field legend Usain Bolt holds the fastest 100m sprint record in the Olympics. He clocked 9.63 seconds during the Beijing event in 2008. The 6 ft 5 mt strong athlete bagged three Golds on a trot in the Olympics in the 100m event from 2008 to 2016.

Bolt also owns the second-fastest 100m sprint record in the Olympics. He took 9.69 seconds in the London edition in 2012 but could not beat his personal best of 9.63.

Bolt’s Jamacian compatriot Yohan Blake recorded 9.75 seconds during the 2012 London Olympics in the 100-meter sprint but could not come close to breaching the 9.70-second mark, hence, Bolt remained the last person to do so.
