India vs Afghanistan Head-To-Head In T20Is

Afghanistan is a team that has improved the most among the low-tier teams in the last 10 years. Especially in the shortest format of the game, Afghanistan has such a solid team in terms of batters, bowlers, and all-rounders that they can beat any team in the world on their day. Afghanistan will play its first-ever T20 bi-lateral series in India against India from 11th January, the two exciting teams will play three games in Mohali,  Indore, and Bangalore respectively. Earlier Afghans met India in the ICC events only ICC events and the Asia Cup.

If we talk about the head-to-head battle between India and Afghanistan then we will see that India has been dominating so far with 5 wins in 6 games they have played against them. One game has been washed away due to rain. This means Afghanistan is yet to open its account in T20Is against the Men in Blue.

India faced Afghans for the first time in the 2010 T20 World Cup in West Indies, winning the game by 7 wickets. In their last encounter in the 2022 Asia Cup, Virat Kohli scored his maiden T20I ton that helped India to score 212/2 in 20 overs and register a victory by 101 runs.

Afghanistan will try to come hard on the hosts this time around and will try to give them shoulder-to-shoulder competition in the games. Whereas, India will look to continue their dominance over Afghans as usual.
