      Khabib Nurmagomedov’s UFC Record

Khabib Nurmagomedov is probably the best mixed martial artist Russia has ever produced. He played sports like wrestling, Judo, and combat sambo before making his mark in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He even won two Gold medals in World Combat Sambo Championship in 2009 and 2010.

      Khabib Nurmagomedov’s UFC Record

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s UFC record is unparalleled and he registered 13 victories on a trot in the UFC while his overall MMA stats stand at 29-0. He won six fights via submission, five games through decision, and two with a technical knockout.

The 5 ft 10-inch athlete started his UFC career against Kamal Shalorus in 2012 and won the match via submission in the third round. He recorded a victory in the next fight too in the same year which was against Glieson Tibau.

Khabib took his career to new heights when he decided to face former lightweight champion Brazilian Rafael Dos Anjos in 2014. He exhibited his skills and dominated throughout three rounds to record a decision triumph (30-27).

The biggest fight of Khabib’s career and probably in UFC’s history was the bout against former lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor in 2018 at UFC 229 in Las Vegas. In an intense and fiery battle due to trash-talk by McGregor in the promotion, Khabib won the first two rounds against the Irish man but lost the third round, his first-round loss in the UFC. Eventually, the Russian beast thrashed McGregor in the fourth round via submission.

The UFC 229 fight was Khabib’s first title defense after becoming the lightweight champion upon defeating Al Iaquinta at UFC 223.
