He surpassed Sachin’s tally of 49 hundred with a splendid 117 off 113 deliveries against New Zealand in the 2023 WC semi-finals in Mumbai. The Delhi boy also eclipsed Ricky Ponting as the 3rd leading run-scorer in the 50-over format during the 13th quadrennial tournament. Kohli has smashed his 51st hundred in Dubai against Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and help India win.

Sachin Tendulkar

Probably the most complete batsman of all time, Sachin Tendulkar scored the 2nd most centuries in ODIs. In an illustrious career spanning 24 years, the technically sound batter smashed 49 tons in 463 games, including 18426 runs at an impressive average of 44.83. Although we all have to admit the fact that Tendulkar played in the most adverse era of fast bowling and still made runs for fun.

The man who changed the course of opening the batting in the modern era with his batting exploits, Rohit Sharma has scored 31 centuries, the 3rd most in ODIs. His tally of hundreds includes 3 double centuries, including the highest score ever in the ODIs, 264 against Sri Lanka. Apart from that, the “Hitman” has amassed over 10000 runs in 261 games with 7 World Cup tons, the highest by any batter.
