One of the most complete players of all time, Lionel Messi scored the most goals in La Liga history. The Argentine forward featured for Barcelona from 2004 to 2021 and scored 474 goals in 520 appearances. With Barca, he won the La Liga title for a staggering ten times.
Another big name on this elite list is none other than Messi’s biggest rival Christiano Ronaldo who joined Los Blanco in 2009 and stayed there till 2017. The ace striker netted 311 goals in only 292 outings which included countless clutch performances.
One of the finest goal-scorers of his time, former Spanish forward Telmo Zarra represented Athletic Bilbao in his entire La Liga career. In 277 appearances from 1940 to 1955, he found the net 254 times.
