In the 3rd test match of the 2024 England tour of India, Yashasvi Jaiswal displayed batting of high quality in the 3rd innings, amassing an unbeaten 214 off just 236 deliveries. He toyed with the English bowlers like James Anderson, Mark Wood, Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, etc. En route to his stupendous double hundred, the Southpaw from Mumbai smashed 14 fours and 12 sixes, which is the joint most by any batter in an innings of a test match.
Jaiswal equaled the 24-year-old record of Pakistani legend Wasim Akram who hit 12 sixes against Zimbabwe in 1996.
