MS Dhoni Became First Wicket-Keeper To Affect 300 Dismissals
Former Indian wicket-keeper MS Dhoni became the first wicket-keeper to affect 300 dismissals in T20 cricket. He added this new feather to his cap During the Chennai Super Kings’s clash against Delhi Capitals at Visakhapatnam on 31st March in the 2024 IPL. Prithvi Shaw became his 300th dismissal after Ravindra Jadeja took the edge off him.
Dhoni is way ahead of the likes of Dinesh Karthik, Kamran Akmal, Quinton De Kock, and Jos Buttler who have 274, 274, 270, and 209 dismissals apiece. In the Indian Premier League too, he has 184 dismissals to his name in 253 matches where 142 catches and 42 stumpings are present, the most by any wicket-keeper in the IPL. Apart from that, the five-time IPL-winning skipper has the 4th most sixes with 239 sixes in the lucrative league.
