      Pragyan Ojha IPL Teams

Pragyan Ojha is a left-arm spinner who played 48 matches for India across formats from 2008 to 2013. The Southpaw is one of the few players with more wickets in tests than runs. He started his Indian Premier League journey in 2008 with Deccan Chargers for a decent sum of INR 1200000. Ojha had a decent outing in the maiden IPL season with 11 wickets in 13 games in his name. Deccan Chargers clinched their first IPL title in 2009 and the Hyderabad boy played a pivotal role by taking 18 wickets in 15 matches, including 3/28 in the finals against RCB. In 2010, the spin wizard performed beyond his capacity and won the Purple Cap by getting 21 scalps in 16 outings. He had a mediocre performance in 2010 as he could take only 10 wickets in as many matches.

Mumbai Indians acquired the services of Pragyan Ojha in 2012 and he played the rest of his IPL there only. In 2012, he bagged 9 wickets in 9 games while in 2013, Ojha snared 16 wickets in as many outings in Mumbai Indians’ successful campaign.

The ICC banned him in 2014 from competitive cricket after finding his bowling action illegal. The year 2015 was his last year in the IPL and Mumbai Indians lifted their second title that year, however, Ojha played only one game and remained wicketless.

Overall, Pragyan Ojha took 85 wickets in 80 matches at a fascinating economy rate of 7.22.
