Rabindra Jadeja Leveled Legendary Gary Sober’s Test Feat

Star Indian all-rounder Rabindra Jadeja leveled a test feat of legendary Caribbean all-rounder Gary Sobers during the 4th Test in Manchester on 28th July. He became the second foreign cricketer to claim 30 wickets in England in tests, in addition to 1000 runs, after Gary Sobers. The 36-year-old Gujarat all-rounder now has 1096 runs with the bat and 34 wickets with the ball in just 16 games.

Jadeja has been a crucial player for India in this ongoing England tour. He has been at his prime this time with the willow, smashing 454 runs in 4 matches with the help of 4 fifties and 1 century. While batting, he has managed to take 7 wickets. His unbeaten 107 in the 4th innings of the Manchester Test contributed massively to India saving them from the jaws of defeat.

This rare double of 30 wickets and 1000 runs on foreign soil was previously recorded by England’s Wilfred Rhodes too, accomplishing the milestone in Australia.
