Rohit Sharma Became First Batsman To Hit 200 Sixes In T20I

Indian captain Rohit Sharma created history by becoming the first batsman to hit 200 sixes in T20I. He achieved the feat during India’s Super Eight clash against Australia in the ongoing T20 World Cup on 24th June in St.Lucia.

The Mumbai-born batsman dismantled the mighty Aussie bowling lineup consisting of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and Josh Hazlewood, charging them constantly with boundaries all over the park since the beginning. He scored a scintillating 92 off 41 balls with the help of 8 sixes and 7 fours, propelling India to 205/5 after 20 overs. Rohit hit four out of eight maximums in the game against Starc in the powerplay.

No one is close to Rohit Sharma in hitting sixes in T20 internationals. New Zealand batter Martin Guptill has 173 sixes to his name followed by Jos Buttler who has smashed 137 sixes.
