Seven Indian Bowlers Took A Wicket For First Time In A T20I

Seven Indian bowlers took a wicket in T20I for the first time during the second T20 against Bangladesh on the 9th of October in Delhi. Arshdeep Singh, Nitish Reddy, Varun Chakravarthy, Mayank Yadav, Washington Sundar, Abhishek Sharma, and Riyan Parag bagged at least one wicket each.

After being invited to bat first, India put 221/9 on board in their allotted 20 overs on the back of quickfire half-century knocks by Nitish Reddy (74 off 34) and Rinku Singh (53 off 29). In reply, Bangladesh could only muster 135/9, due to tight and cleaver bowling by the hosts. Varun Chakravarthy and Nitish Reddy claimed two wickets apiece and other mentioned bowlers picked up one wicket apiece.

India became the 11th team to achieve the feat in T20 internationals. Previously six different bowlers of the team snared one wicket each several times in the format.
