Shikhar Dhawan’s Last Match For India In International Cricket

One of the best Indian openers in the limited overs, Shikhar Dhawan hung his boots from all forms of cricket on 25th August 2024 with immediate effect. Dhawan made his last appearance for India in international cricket during the 2022 ODI series against Bangladesh.

The elegant batsman had a horrible last series with the bat. In three matches, he managed to score only 18 runs in three innings. In the first game in Dhaka, he made a struggleful seven runs before getting bowled to Mehedy Hasan. The Southpaw scored eight runs in the second game and in the last match of the series which turned out to be the penultimate game of his career, Shikhar Dhawan mustered three runs.

Overall, the Delhite batsman accumulated 10867 runs in 269 matches at an impressive average of 39.66 with the help of 24 centuries and 55 half-centuries in international cricket for the Blue Army. His highest score of 190 off 168 balls came against Sri Lanka in 2017 in Galle which included 31 fours.
