Shubman Gill Equaled Don Bradman’s Test Record

The new flag bearer of the Indian cricket team, Shubman Gill, equaled Sir Don Bradman’s test record during India’s 5th day of the Manchester test on Sunday, 27th July. He scored his 4th century of this England tour, which is the joint-most by a captain in a test series, along with another two legends of the game, Don Bradman and Sunil Gavaskar.

After scoring 147 in Leeds, 269 and 161 in Birmingham, the Punjab boy continued his domination against the strong English bowling lineup containing Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes, etc, in the 4th test and scored a gutsy 103 off 238 balls from a devastating position of 0/2 in the second innings, which later helped India to draw an almost losing test match.

With one more game left to play in the series, in-form Gill may slam another spectacular ton and become the captain with the most hundreds in a single test series.
