When Is Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Next Fight?

Khabib Nurmagomedov is an ex-mix martial arts athlete who played in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fight Championship from 2011 to 2021. Before getting into MMA, Khabib had played Wrestling, Judo, and Combat Sambo, winning two Golds in two World Championships in Sambo in 2010 and 2011 respectively. He embarked on his MMA journey in the Anntrim Cup tournament in 2008 in Russia and ended up being the inaugural champion by defeating three opponents.

Khabib made his UFC debut in 2012 after signing a six-fight deal with the company in 2011. He defeated Kamal Shalorus in the third round via submission in his first fight in Nashville and his last bout was against the American fighter Justin Gaethje in the UFC 254 in 2020 and defended the lightweight championship belt by registering a technical submission in the second round. Therefore, Khabib Retired from the MMA citing he would not fight without his late father Abdulmanap. He remained the longest-reigning lightweight champion from April 2018 to March 2021 and along with that, Khabib never lost an MMA fight in his career finishing with a record 29-0.

So yes, after the fight with Justin Gaethje Khabib clearly stated that he does not want to come in the octagon without his father anymore, it was his first fight without him. He promised his mother that he would not fight with his father beside him and he would be intact to his words. It was his last fight here in the UFC. 

Khabib became an active coach after bringing curtains on his glorious career and now works closely with current UFC champions like Islam Makhachev, Belal Muhammad, Usman Nurmagomedov, etc.
