WPL 2024 Orange Cap Winner
The 2024 WPL aka Women’s Premier League concluded recently with RCB Women’s clinching their first title by defeating Delhi Capitals by eight wickets and three balls to spare. In the first season of the WPL, RCB did not fare well and finished the event in the second-last position. But in 2024, the Smriti Mandhana-led franchise came with a positive approach and an intent to lift the trophy. Hence after almost a month of hard work and dedication, they fulfilled their dream of winning the prestigious trophy.
The Orange Cap is rewarded to the player who scores the most runs in an edition in IPL and WPL. The prestigious award in the 2024 WPL has been bagged by none other than the most complete all-rounder Ellyse Perry.

The Aussie Stalwart amassed 347 runs in 9 matches at a stunning average of 69.40 and a decent strike rate of 125.72. Her impressive tally included 66 in the eliminator against Mumbai Indians and 35* in the finals against Delhi Capitals. Apart from that, she grabbed 7 scalps at a misery economy of 6.81. Perry has been instrumental in RCB’s successful campaign in 2024 without her unparalleled display it would not have been possible for them.
