      Former left-arm spinner Neetu David who represented India from 1995 to 2008 holds the record for the best bowling figure by an Indian in an innings in Women’s test. She registered 8/53 against England Women’s in 1995 in Jamshedpur. Still, the hosts lost the game upon falling to present collective performance.

      Uttarakhand all-rounder Sneh Rana recently returned with a stunning figure of 8/77 against South Africa in Chennai, the 2nd best figure by an Indian in an innings in a Women’s test. This was the second instance of an Indian taking eight wickets in a women’s test.

      Former Indian seamer Gargi Banerji dismantled the Kiwi batting lineup during a test in 1985 in Cuttack and recorded 6/9 in the first innings, helping the hosts bundle them for 184 runs. However, in the 2nd innings, she went wicketless.
